STUDENTS ACTING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT (S.A.F.E) TO HOLD EARTH DAY EVENT
(PAINESVILLE, OHIO) - Students Acting for the Environment (SAFE), a student organization at Lake Erie College, has planned an Earth Day celebration for Saturday, April 22 from 12-4 p.m. to be held outside the Holden Center on the Lake Erie College campus. The public is encouraged to attend this free educational event featuring live music and family-friendly activities.
Earth Day activities will include crafts, live music by local band Magnum Opus, a scavenger hunt, wild animals from a rescue farm and Earth Day films. Also featured will be activities specially designed for kids, including a poster contest, bead making, flower pot decorating and planting. Information on environmental issues will also be presented by Lake Erie College students and local businesses and organizations.
