AKRON NATIVE AND LAKE ERIE COLLEGE STUDENT NAMED TO NATIONAL DEANíS LIST
(PAINESVILLE, OHIO) - Howard Washington II of Akron has been named to the National Dean’s list for his exceptional achievements during the 2004-2005 academic year. Washington is a graduate of Akron North High School and is currently a junior majoring in Fine Arts at Lake Erie College.
To be eligible for recognition by the National Dean’s List, students musthave achieved "Dean's List" honors, or comparable academic achievement, have a “B+” average or greater and be in the upper 10% of their classes. Students must be nominated by the college professors, coaches and teachers familiar with their work and achievements.
In addition to being an exceptional student, Washington is a member of the Lake Erie College Storm basketball team, the French Club and has participated in various fundraising phone-a-thons for the College.
