Margaret Freeman Guest Lecturer at Lake Erie College
Margaret Freeman, a USEF Senior (S) dressage judge, rated to judge through Grand Prix at U.S. shows, will be the guest speaker Friday, January 21st, 2011 from 5:00-7:00pm in the Coe Conference Room of the Arthur S. Holden Center at Lake Erie College. Freeman will present Ten Ways to Improve Your Dressage Score without Taking a Lesson and The Learner Judge Program: What are the qualities and qualifications that make a good judge? How does the USDF learner judge program work?
Freeman earned a USDF Silver Medal and competes her Friesian-cross mare, Windsong, at FEI levels. She grew up in Portland, Oregon, where she first learned to ride at a hunter barn on an island in the middle of the Columbia River. She now lives in New York. She is the associate editor of "Horse Journal" and on the editorial board of "USDF Connection." In the past, her journalism adventures have taken her to six Olympics where she's covered the equestrian events for the Associated Press.
