Transfer Student Next Steps


Visit campus and learn more about Lake Erie College. You’ll meet with the transfer coordinator to talk about the transfer process.

Complete your application

Complete your application. In addition to your college transcript, submit the following:

High school transcripts or GED certificate (if you haven’t earned an associate degree)

Transfer Referral Form (if transferring from a 4 year school)

Fill out your FAFSA

  Submit the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) and add Lake Erie College as a school. The code is 003066.

Submit your deposit

Save your spot at LEC by submitting your $200 enrollment deposit.

Register for classes

Register for classes by meeting with the transfer coordinator.

Submit your housing contract

Submit your housing contract if you plan to live on campus. You can turn in the forms during your registration meeting.

Attend transfer orientation

Attend transfer orientation. You’ll get your student ID card, parking pass, and learn how to look up information about your classes through the student web portal.
