LAKE ERIE COLLEGE APPOINTS CHAUNCEY JACKSON VICE PRESIDENT FOR ENROLLMENT

President Brian Posler, Ph.D. recently announced today that Chauncey Jackson will join the Lake Erie College executive team as vice president for enrollment, beginning January 3, 2022.

Currently serving as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer at Invictus High School System, his experience includes leading a team to increase system-wide enrollment as well as further developing relationships with external stakeholders. Jackson’s talent for developing enrollment strategies will amplify LEC’s capacity to recruit students.

“Chauncey clearly has the experience and skills to move our enrollment efforts forward,” said President Posler. “Enrollment is the lifeblood of the college, and with the rapidly changing landscape of higher education, I’m excited to place someone with Chauncey’s experience in this critical role for the College.”

Prior to his role at Invictus, Jackson was the chief enrollment officer at Langston University where he had nation-wide success in enrolling the three largest freshmen classes in University history. He accomplished this while also increasing the academic profile of incoming students and reducing the student loan default rate both by 10%.

"This role is a dream come true. I am a strong believer in the power of education and its ability to empower students to change their lives as well as the lives of those around them. I am both honored and humbled by the confidence that President Posler and the LEC community have placed in me, and I’m looking forward to recruiting and enrolling students from across our state and region,” said Jackson.

Jackson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and an MBA both from Ohio University. He is also a Doctor of Philosophy candidate, School of Liberal Arts and Education at Hampton University with completion expected in June 2023.
