On Saturday, February 23, Lake Erie College’s Department of Music will present a Skinner organ concert by internationally renowned organist Todd Wilson, LEC’s organist-in-residence. The concert will take place in the Helen Rockwell Morley Memorial Music Building at 3 p.m.
Wilson will perform on the restored 1927 E.M. Skinner pipe organ, Opus 647. He also performed in the inaugural concert for the newly restored organ in 2006, and the ten year anniversary concert in 2016. Selections will include compositions by Marcel Dupré, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Georg Goltermann, Alexander Borodin and Julius Reubke.
Wilson is regarded across America and around the world as one of today’s finest concert organists. In addition to his work at LEC, he serves as head of the Organ Department at Cleveland Institute of Music, curator of the E.M. Skinner pipe organ at Severance Hall in Cleveland (home of The Cleveland Orchestra) and director of music at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Cleveland.
Admission for the concert is free, but a donation is suggested to support the LEC fine arts program. For more information, contact Todd Wilson at firstname.lastname@example.org.Back To News
