Part-Time Criminal Justice and Legal Studies Instructor

Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applicants for Adjunct Instructor of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies, reporting to the dean of the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

Using collaborative approaches, instructional technology and innovative methods, the successful candidate will provide instruction in criminal justice and legal studies on the undergraduate level. Additional responsibilities include the development of syllabi and coursework. Depending on the course, the instructor may be asked to teach in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face and online (to include either hybrid or hyflex approaches to instruction).

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching in a liberal arts college environment. To be considered for the adjunct instructor position, the candidate should hold a master’s degree in criminal justice and have a minimum of three years of experience in the field of criminal justice. College teaching experience and experience in online or blended teaching are preferred.
