President Posler to host spring 2018 reception in Greensboro, N.C.

Do you live in North Carolina? LEC President Brian D. Posler, PhD has asked alumni and friends to join him and Trustee Doris Roach Bray ’59 for a cocktail reception and institutional update at the Greensboro Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. on Friday, February 9, 2018.

The College recently announced its new mission and vision statements as put forth in its 2018-2021 strategic plan, titled “Supporting. Empowering. Thriving.” It is the product of President Posler’s first strategic planning process at LEC.

He assumed office in June of 2016 and was inaugurated on Apr. 7, 2017. As president, he has overseen the recent hiring of Vice President of Advancement Anthony Fulgenzio and Director of Athletics Kelley Kish. His efforts have focused chiefly on facilities improvements and emerging academic programs such as the environmental science major and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program. Previously, he held the position of chief academic officer as provost and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan.

Reception attendees may arrive any time between 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to meet the president and trustee. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will be served, and business or business casual attire is suggested for this semi-formal event.
