Residence Life & Housing

Congratulations and welcome to Lake Erie College! The Residence Life staff and I are excited that you have decided to begin a new chapter of your life by living on campus at LEC. My hope is that, but living on campus, you will have the opportunity to develop long-lasting memories that will only add to your college experience. Please know that my staff and I are always available to assist with your adjustment to college living.

How do I reserve my space?
Since you have been accepted, you will need to submit a Housing Accommodations and Food Service Contract. This contract is available here:

The Housing Accommodation and Food Service Contract should be submitted immediately upon your deposit in order for you to reserve your space in campus housing. Room assignments are based upon the date your Housing Contract is received by my office so please do not delay. Priority assignments are given to contracts received by May 1, 2020. Please note that building preferences are given on a first come, first serve basis and as space allows.

What other forms are needed?
Immunization Forms and Medical Forms will also need to be returned and should be submitted by the date of arrival. Immunization Forms and Medical Forms do not need to accompany the Housing Contract. These forms can also be found here:

I plan on commuting. What do I need to do?
Any student who is outside of the 25 mile radius, under the age of 22 and has completed less than 64 credit hours is required to live on campus. Any student receiving an athletic scholarship is required to live on campus. Exceptions have been made and are reviewed on a case by case basis. This includes new students who have not lived on campus before.

Does Lake Erie College offer priority housing?
Priority assignments are given to Housing Contracts received by May 1, 2020. In addition, spaces have been set aside for incoming students who are members of one of our Learning Communities and choose to live in an academic centered building. Limited spaces are available until July 1, 2020.

When will I get my room assignment and roommate information?
Once your Housing Contract is received, you will be placed in campus housing. Information will be sent to your Lake Erie College email address at the end of June/beginning of July. This will include your room assignment, roommate information, as well as instructions for what to bring with you and what to do on move-in day. Feel free to check out the question and answer section of our website for more details:
