Lake Erie College has a rich history that dates back to the mid 1800’s. Through the years many successful alumni have taken the time to give back to their alma mater generously in hopes of paying forward their Lake Erie experience. Lake Erie College Merit Scholarships 2019-2020
All incoming full-time undergraduate students will be considered for merit scholarship based upon their cumulative GPAs and ACT or SAT test scores. Please contact the Office of Admissions to learn more and to find out your merit scholarship amount.
Full-Time Undergraduate First-Year Student Scholarships:
||GPA 3.75+ or GPA 3.5+ and ACT 25+/SAT 1200+ = $17,600|
||GPA 3.0+ and ACT 22+/SAT 1100+ = $15,000|
|Deans||GPA 2.75+ and ACT 20+/SAT 1030+ = $12,500|
|Leadership||GPA 2.5+ and ACT 18+/SAT 960+ = $10,000|

The Twins Scholarship
As evidence of Lake Erie College's responsiveness to the desires of our students, we offer the Lake Erie College Twins Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded at 50% for both students. In essence, both twins can attend Lake Erie College for the tuition of only one. If student is eligible for a Merit scholarship and Twins scholarship, the higher of the two scholarships will be awarded.
Awarded to children or grandchildren of Lake Erie College alumni enrolled as fulltime undergraduate students earning their first bachelor’s degree. $2000 annual award, automatically renewed up to 4 years or 8 semesters, based on the student maintaining good academic standing.
Equine Talent Scholarship
Students pursuing a major in equine studies may apply for the EQ Talent Scholarship. The scholarship is valued between $1,000-$5,000 and is awarded by The Office of Financial Aid and VP for Enrollment. Recommendations from the EQ staff are welcomed. To apply for the scholarship students must submit 1) a letter of Recommendation from someone within the equine industry (coach, trainer, etc.) and 2) a Resume of their equine related experience (include all EQ related experiences.) Scholarship dollar amount will be determined by overall skill level along with financial need (based on the FAFSA). This scholarship is renewable for 4 years or 8 semesters.
Instrumental Ensemble Scholarship
The college offers talent-based scholarships to all eligible students. The amounts of music scholarships are based on musical ability, needs of the ensemble, and potential shown through audition (either live, virtual, or tape).
