Chorus at Lake Erie College| Painesville, OH

Join a nearly 30-year tradition with the Lake Erie College Chorus! Rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 7-9 on the stage of Helen Rockwell Morley Memorial Music Building.

As a student at Lake Erie College, you are encouraged to pursue your passions.

Singing in a chorus doesn’t have to end just because you graduated from high school! If you enjoy singing and wish you could continue singing in a vocal group, there is a terrific opportunity waiting for you at Lake Erie College. There is no requirement to be a Fine Arts Major or a Music Minor to sing in the Lake Erie College Chorus. Students with any major can participate. The Lake Erie College Chorus includes both student singers and auditioned singers from the community. Students can join this 30-year tradition of choral music and sing in a top-notch musical hall at the Helen Rockwell Morley Memorial Music Hall.

  • The chorus performs at least once a semester. Students can earn one credit by enrolling in MUS/108.

Meet the Director

Mary Crow has shared her passion for choral singing with a variety of ages, in a variety of settings for the past 35 years. She believes that choral singing is unique as an art form because singers are working together to create something beautiful. Currently in her seventh year as director of the Lake Erie College Chorus, Mrs. Crow received her Bachelor of Music Education from Bowling Green State University. While there, she studied choral conducting with Richard Mathey and Dr. Ivan Trussler.
