  2. Lake Erie College Dance Department presents “The Spring Dance Collection”

The Dance Department at Lake Erie College will present “The Spring Dance Collection” at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, April 14, 2023. The word “Collection” refers to the varied styles of dance being showcased. These include classical and contemporary ballet, jazz, modern dance, jazz-funk and hip hop presented as solos, duets, and ensembles. Special guest performers include the LEC Dance Team and members of the Junior Company of Inspired Movement Dance Studio, a dance studio located in Chardon, Ohio..

Alexandra Strawbridge of the LEC Dance Department and director of the dance concert, remarked "The concert is a really engaging mix of pieces. The different dance backgrounds of both the performers and the choreographers offer wonderful variety to the show. The Dance Team's hip hop and jazz styles bring excitement and high-energy levels to the stage, while some of the ballet and modern pieces take on deeper, sometimes darker, feelings that will really leave the audience with something to think about after the curtain closes."

Choreographers:
