COhatch donating services to Lake Erie College

Painesville, OH – Lake Erie College is pleased to announce a community partnership with COhatch, a Columbus-based, community-driven company which develops innovative shared work and social spaces.

COhatch has generously gifted ten memberships for faculty and 15 memberships for students of Lake Erie College, as well as access to meeting spaces at COhatch locations in Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Tampa, and in the cities the company is headed to soon, including Pittsburgh, Orlando, Atlanta, Raleigh-Durham, Charlotte, and Nashville.

In addition to use of these physical locations, the gift provides access to COhatch+, the digital community platform recently launched by the company, which allows members to connect with one another, list their businesses, receive member perks, and more.

Lake Erie College is the only institution of higher education in Northeast Ohio chosen by COhatch for this exclusive partnership. Other COhatch partner institutions include Miami University, the Columbus College of Art & Design, and The Ohio State University.

“The reach and accessibility of COhatch provides a unique opportunity for Lake Erie College,” stated Mary-Michelle Coleman-Walsh, J.D., director of Graduate Studies at Lake Erie College. “This generous donation of meeting spaces and professional services will allow our students and faculty to meet, learn, and network at COhatch locations across the country and collaborate with entrepreneurial businesses which are part of the growing COhatch community. Each facility is fresh, unique, and provides the ideal location for business meetings, networking, and overall growth. We are incredibly grateful for this partnership and new opportunity.”

Over the next several months, Lake Erie College will be hosting several inaugural events at COhatch locations in the Cleveland area to allow faculty, staff, students, and alumni to experience COhatch and learn about the long-term benefits of this new partnership. Events include a recruiting Open House for the Lake Erie College Master of Business Administration and Master of Professional Studies programs, and various committee meetings.
