Senior Jacob Turay invited to NFL 2019 National Scouting Combine

Jacob Turay, Lake Erie College ‘19 isn’t your average Biology student. Turay, senior at Lake Erie College started his college career at College of DuPage, a Junior College in Illinois where he achieved his associates degree. He then transferred to Lake Erie College on a scholarship to play football. He is currently finishing out his Bachelor's Degree in Biology.

Now Turay has been invited to partake in the 2019 National Scouting Combine. The National Scouting Combine is an event put on by “Beyond Sports Network” and intends to provide candidates with the highest levels of testing requirements, which then showcases their abilities to potential coaches, scouts and all professional leagues. This event is designated to create connections between highly talented athletes and NFL professionals. Turay has been a linebacker for the LEC Storm and plans to give it his all on February 28, 2019 at the National Scouting Combine.

If football doesn’t work out Turay is passionate about becoming a strength and conditioning coach. In his free-time, he enjoys playing with and walking his two dogs. Good luck to Jacob as he performs in the event this week!

Students can join the Lake Erie College Office of Human Resources for a watch party from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on February 28 in the basement of Kilcawley. The Combine will also be live streaming in the main lobby of the Jerome T. Osborne Family Athletic & Wellness Center.
