Steinway Artist Joe Augustine Returns for Master Class Lecture at LEC

Lake Erie College is pleased to announce a Master Class lecture with LEC Artist-in-Residence Joe Augustine will take place at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2019.

Mr. Augustine is a renowned jazz pianist who has performed in musical settings from concert stages to jazz clubs. He has been among the roster of Steinway artists since 1995 – a life-long honor.

“The Steinway piano is the greatest tool of musical communication in the world today,” Augustine has said of his position as a Steinway artist.

As artist in residence, Mr. Augustine makes yearly appearances to lecture at LEC. In addition, he lectures at many universities to connect art to social, business and entrepreneurial topics. His Master Class brings an outside voice to campus to reach students, and his artistic themes encourage the growing fine arts community at LEC.

Mr. Augustine will lecture in the Paul S. Weaver Auditorium of the Helen Rockwell Morley Memorial Music Building. The lecture is free and open to the public.
