Web Editor and Graphic Designer


Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applications for the full-time position of web editor and graphic designer. The web editor and graphic designer position will be responsible for supporting the creative director in executing and managing web edit requests and graphic design needs in both print and digital formats. Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills are necessary to insure goals and deliverables are met in a timely and effective manner. This individual should be self-sufficient, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects at a time.


  • Develops designs and graphics for marketing deliverables including but not limited to print (flyers, brochures, rack cards, catalog, magazines, mailers, custom) and digital (social media graphics, email graphics, paid banner ads, digital signage, website graphics).

  • Follows creative direction supplied by the Creative Director.

  • Manages and communicates with various vendors on items such as quotes, proofs, pre-checks, and time management.

  • Work to ensure projects and needs are executed effectively and on deadline.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Creative Director.


  • Experience working in a CMS system and a basic understanding of website builds/infrastructure.

  • The ability to time manage and project manage multiple assignments with multiple deadlines.

  • HTML/CSS knowledge.

  • Experience with email apps like Mailchimp or other CMS automated systems.

  • Photography/video editing skills.
