2023 marks Lake Erie College's 7th Annual Giving Day

Friday, April 28, 2023

For the past several years, alumni, parents and friends have come together in 24 hours during challenging times to show an outpouring of love and support for Lake Erie College. As you know, we are in the midst of our ambitious Now & Forever Campaign. We are over halfway to our fundraising goal, and we need your help to reach it through support of student scholarships, athletics, campus improvements and more.

No matter where you are on April 28, you can make a difference for Lake Erie College students and help make this year’s Giving Day the most successful one to date. Make your gift online at your convenience.

BREAKING NEWS

A generous donor and alumna, Sue Schoedinger Ellis '59, has stepped up to commit a $10,000 gift to match other gifts that come in for Giving Day! Read more about Sue Ellis here.

What is Giving Day? Giving Day is a day dedicated to fundraising at Lake Erie College. This concept is not unique to our institution. Most institutes of higher education dedicate one day per year to raise funds in a way they have never before - to bring the entire LEC community together in 24 hours in the spirit of philanthropy to support the next generation of students. This demonstration of support is pivotal in helping our college receive funding in a variety of other ways. Why does Giving Day matter? Small, liberal-arts schools like ours depend on scholarship and unrestricted gifts from alumni and donors to help students afford their education. LEC Alumni have always generously supported current students - it's one of  our most important traditions. How can I help? On April 28, 2023, make a gift to Lake Erie College. Even if you've already made your contribution for the year - make one final stretch gift to help us reach our goals towards the Now & Forever Campaign. We are over halfway to our fundraising goal, and we will only get there with your help. Giving Day is an important part of that effort.
