2025 Alumni Weekend is September 26 and 27 at Lake Erie College. We are excited to welcome you back to your alma mater for a weekend full of fun with offerings for everyone! Check out the full schedule and register below.

  • 4:00-5:00 p.m. Women's Suffrage Sign unveiling: in the Louise Price Social Parlor. Register here!

  • 6:00-7:00 p.m. George Minger ’23 talk: in the Dickinson Auditorium. You do not need to register to join us for this presentation.

Bookstore Hours: 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. | Dining Hall Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., Lunch: 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Dinner: 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. | Alumni Weekend registration will be open from 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. on the Holden Stage

  • 9:00–10:00 a.m. Fundamentals Course: Alumni have the opportunity to shadow a class within the business major. Taught by Professor Peter Apicella, this class will allow you to see the current business curriculum offered at Lake Erie College. This class will be held in Holden 314. (This building is equipped with an elevator if needed.)

  • 9:30 a.m. Campus Tour: Take a tour of Lake Erie College’s campus with an Admissions tour guide, meet in the College Hall lobby.

  • 10:00–11:15 a.m. Jewelry Making Class: Join Madi Meyer of Made by Maude for a charm bracelet and necklace-making class to take home a fun new accessory from your alma mater. This class will take place in the Learning Commons. The cost is $15 and includes all materials needed.

  • 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Methods and Materials of Teaching Riding Lab: Alumni have the opportunity to shadow a class within the STREAMS major. Taught by Professor Mary Pardee, this class offers a look into the current equestrian curriculum at Lake Erie College. This class will be held in the arena at the Equestrian Center.

  • 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. All-Alumni Lunch: Enjoy the all-you-can-eat lunch buffet in the back room of the Holden Center Dining Hall. Be sure to tell the AVI staff you’re there for Alumni Weekend, and they will direct you. The cost is $15.

  • 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. George Minger ’23 Table: Stop by the table George Minger ’23 has set up with a demo and giveaways in the Holden Center lobby.

  • 1:00–3:30 p.m. Shuttle Tour to Tower Apartments: Hop on the shuttle to tour our newest student housing in Painesville Square. The shuttle will pick up alumni outside of Holden in half-hour intervals. Please register for your preferred time.

  • 1:00–2:30 p.m. Sip and Paint with President Schuller: Take a step-by-step painting class with President Schuller. With a background in art, our president will help you create a masterpiece while having fun! This will take place in the Jay Dodd Pavilion (Weather permitting; will move to the Learning Commons if needed.) The cost is $20, which includes all painting supplies, light refreshments, and—of course—beer, wine, and seltzers to sip!

  • 1:00–2:00 p.m. Cell and Molecular Biology Class: Alumni have the opportunity to shadow a class within the STREAMS major. Taught by Dr. Deb Schulman, this class showcases the current science curriculum at Lake Erie College. This class will be held in Austin 307. (This building is equipped with an elevator if needed.)

  • 2:30–3:45 p.m. Equestrian Center Tour: Take a tour of the Equestrian Center with staff. Meet in the Equestrian Center lobby.

  • 1:00–2:00 p.m. STEM Methods Class: Alumni have the opportunity to shadow a class within the education major. Taught by Professors Grace Summanen and Emily Hoopes-Boyd, this class highlights the current education curriculum at Lake Erie College. It will be held in the Makerspace, located on the first floor of the Garfield Center.

  • 4:00 p.m. Alumni Choir Rehearsal: Take a singing lesson with Dan Call ’81 while learning two Lake Erie College classics: Dona Nobis Pacem and The Ash Grove (our alma mater). Rehearsal will take place in Morley Music Hall. A performance will take place at the All-Alumni Cocktail Party later that evening. Whether you were in the Lake Erie College choir or have never sung before, this will be fun for everyone!

  • 4:00–5:30 p.m. Lake Erie College Jeopardy: Join us for Lake Erie College Jeopardy in the Learning Commons. The cost is $5 and includes light snacks and drinks. Put your knowledge of all things Lake Erie College to the test!

  • 6:00 p.m. All-Alumni Cocktail Party: Located at the Victor Manor House. The evening includes heavy appetizers, cocktails, and plenty of reminiscing with fellow alumni and friends! Distinguished Alumni Awards, selected by the National Alumni Board, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $25 and includes food, drinks, entertainment, and valet service.

  • 9:30–11:00 a.m. Pastries with President Schuller: Start your morning with President Schuller and our deans as they share updates from each school. Happening in the Learning Commons and includes time for Q&A. The cost is $10 and includes a light breakfast.

  • 11:30 a.m. Campus Tour: Take a tour of Lake Erie College’s campus with an Admissions tour guide, meet in the College Hall lobby.

  • 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Makerspace Presentation and Demo: Dean of Education Dr. Greg Rothwell will give a tour and demonstration of the College’s 3D printers in the Makerspace, located on the first floor of the Garfield Center. The cost is $10 and includes materials for you to take home a 3D-printed trinket.

  • 12:00–2:30 p.m. All-Reunion Lunch: Calling all reunion years! Whether you’re celebrating 5 years or 50, join us for a reunion lunch at the Victor Manor House. The event will include a ceremony for the Golden Anniversary class (celebrating their 50th reunion) and keepsakes for all. The cost is $15. Reunion photos can be sent to alumni@lec.edu to be featured in the slideshow.

  • 3:00 p.m. Organ Concert: Enjoy the musical stylings of our organist-in-residence, Todd Wilson, as he plays the College’s beloved EM Skinner organ in Morley Music Hall.

  • 1:00–3:30 p.m. Food Truck Tailgate: Grab a bite to eat outside of Jack Britt Stadium before the football game. The cost is $10 and includes a food voucher good for one food truck. Additional food may be purchased separately.

  • 4:00 p.m. Homecoming Football Game: Watch the Lake Erie College Storm take on the Tiffin Dragons at Jack Britt Stadium. Admission is $12. Tickets can be purchased below, or click here!

  • 3:30–5:00 p.m. Steele Mansion Tour and Happy Hour: Tour the beautiful and historic Steele Mansion, followed by a happy hour. The cost is $10 and includes a drink of your choice and snacks.

  • 9:00–10:30 p.m. Alumni After Hours: Wrap up your Saturday evening with us at Red Wine and Brew. The event will be held in the loft on the second floor and is open to Lake Erie College alumni only. The cost is $15 and includes two drink tickets and appetizers.
