Alumni Brad Harmon has returned to Lake Erie College as the newest member of the College’s Board of Directors.

Harmon is currently the Midwest Regional President at Advance Local, one of the largest media groups in the United States, which operates the leading news and information companies, including The Plain Dealer and Cleveland.com in more than 20 cities, reaching more than 50 million people monthly with its quality journalism and community engagement.

“It’s always wonderful to add a talented, passionate alum to our Board of Directors. Brad’s expertise will be incredibly valuable as we continue to raise our visibility in greater Cleveland,” commented Lake Erie College President, Dr. Brian Posler.

He is a senior media executive who specializes in organizational management and structure, multi-media pricing innovation and change management to name a few. He was also named the 2019 recipient of the Editor and Publisher of 10 Newspapers That Do It Right award and was named Publisher of the Year in 2018 from GateHouse Media with over 144 daily newspapers, 569 websites in 38 states.

“I am so honored, humbled and excited to join the Lake Erie College board. During my college years at Lake Erie, the professors and administration were so focused on ensuring my success. Without their hands-on and thoughtful approach, the doors to my future would not have opened as easily. Now it’s time to give back,” said Harmon.

Harmon graduated from Lake Erie College in 1989 with a marketing degree. He resides in Pepper Pike with his wife, Rachel, and sons Grant and Gavin.
