Dale Turley is the Assistant Clinical Coordinator for Lake Erie College’s PA Program. Dale grew up in Northeast Ohio and attended the University of Akron as a Fire Science Major before joining the United States Air Force and Honorably Discharged in 1981. He attended Paramedic school at Akron General Medical Center and worked as a paramedic until he became the Educational Coordinator for the Paramedic Training program at AGMC. In 1984, he attended the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy in Columbus, Ohio and after a short law enforcement career in Northeast Ohio, joined the Fort Lauderdale Police Department where he served 22 years and retired from the FLPD.

He worked in many FLPD divisions including Tactical Impact / SWAT, Community Policing Unit, and Aviation Division where he received his Helicopter Pilot Certification and flew for the department for three years. He concluded his career as a Detective / Task Force Agent with a Federal Drug Task Force “HIDTA” receiving 80 public and community service awards. One of his pinnacle investigations brought about the capture of America’s Most Wanted #201, Philip White.

During his last few years with FLPD, he took advantage of the educational assistance offered by the City of Fort Lauderdale and completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and then attended the Physician Assistant Program at Nova Southeastern University in 1998. He also completed a post graduate Masters program in Emergency Medicine at NSU.

Dale is currently employed at the Cleveland Clinic Emergency Services Institute in Ohio and works as an independent contractor in South Florida during the winter months at various ERs. Last year he passed the new board certification program in Emergency Medicine instituted by the NCCPA. Dale enjoys spending time raising three teenagers and participating in coaching their sports activities.
