Lake Erie College Creative Writing Students Recognized| in National Literary Magazines
Lake Erie College is proud to celebrate the literary accomplishments of two student writers whose work has recently been published in respected literary magazines.
Mackenzie Meeker, a member of the Lake Erie College Creative Writing Club, has had her flash fiction piece Alarm Clock accepted for publication in the 29th issue of 10 By 10 Flash, a journal that showcases compelling stories told in 10 sentences or fewer. The issue with her piece can be found here.
Additionally, during a recent meeting at Julbeans Coffee House in Fairport Harbor, Creative Writing Club advisor Amy Kesegich happened to spot another familiar name in print: Adeline J (AJ) Cloutier, another student writer, had their poem “A Kid Again” published in the most recent print edition of Polaris, a national undergraduate literary magazine based at Ohio Northern University.
“I am so proud of Mackenzie and A.J. It is an incredible accomplishment to be published in national literary magazines,” said Kesegich.
