Written before either composer reached full artistic maturity, Georges Bizet’s radiant Symphony in C and Johannes Brahms’s monumental Violin Concerto each demonstrate remarkable confidence, craftsmanship, and emotional depth. Joining the orchestra is violinist Amy Lee, Professor at Oberlin Conservatory and former Associate Concertmaster of The Cleveland Orchestra. Her gorgeous sound, commanding technique and musical insight make her an ideal interpreter of Brahms’ towering concerto.
