About The Event
Evelina Omagano Anyolo (PhD) is a Senior Lecturer in Social Science Education at the University of Namibia. She holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Education and a PhD in Education, with a specific focus on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Her academic and professional work is grounded in advancing sustainability principles within the education systems. Dr Anyolo’s research interests center on the integration of ESD into school curricula and teacher education programmes, with the aim of strengthening transformative teaching and learning practices which can ultimately enhance the quality of education. She has published in the field of ESD, contributing valuable scholarship that informs both policy and practice. In addition, she has actively participated in national and international funded research projects on ESD, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to promote sustainable development through education in Namibia and beyond. Currently, Dr Anyolo is a Fulbright scholar at Iowa State University (ISU), Iowa for 2026. Her main responsibility while at ISU is to teach and research in the School of Education.
