Faculty Spotlight - Sarah Dwyer '18 | Equine Faculty Member
“LEC has been instrumental in preparing me to be a professional both in and out of the equine industry. I am so grateful for the work and life experiences I have gotten through my time at LEC.”
Sarah knew she wanted to go into the therapeutic horsemanship industry, and the program at LEC caught her attention. She was sold after touring the amazing facility and liked the idea of small class sizes and a tight knit campus. She graduated with a double major in Business Administration and Equine Entrepreneurship and is pursuing her MBA at LEC. As a graduate assistant, she works in the equine program office and is the assistant coach of the IHSA hunt seat team. She had the opportunity to teach the LEC Therapeutic Riding Center summer riding sessions, working with community riders and volunteers as well as LEC student volunteers. Sarah says it’s best to take advantage of all of the horse experiences offered at LEC, since opportunities like this are hard to find.
