Giving Tuesday at LEC

#GivingTuesday is a global movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. Support the Lake Erie College community and make a real difference in the lives of our students—students like Rachel Ward ’22--by making a gift TODAY.

Meet Rachel Ward, a student at Lake Erie College

Rachel is a chemistry major with minors in biology and applied research. She is a research intern at the Holden Arboretum. Through her research internship, she will be the first student to present at the Sustainability Speaker series this upcoming April, and her research has potential for publication. Rachel is the President of the Pre-Medical Professionals Club, a Power Up Student Leader, a College Ambassador, a member of The Laurel Society, and a member of the Outdoor Sustainability Skills Club.

After graduating from Lake Erie College, Rachel plans to attend physical therapy school. In fact, she has already received a few acceptance letters, so she’s currently in the process of deciding on where she will be attending school next year. Upon graduation from her DPT program, Rachel will pursue a PhD as she aspires to be a leader in the field of physical therapy and become a clinical researcher.

Gifts to Lake Erie College support students like Rachel by providing scholarships, research and internship opportunities, and so much more. On this #GivingTuesday we encourage you to make a gift to Lake Erie College today by visiting https://www.lec.edu/alumni/alumni-give/.
