Graduate Program Admission & Registration Specialist | STATUS: FULL-TIME, EXEMPT, SALARIED

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF GRADUATE STUDIES & SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS & INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS

Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applications for the full-time position of graduate program admission & registration specialist. This position is under supervision of the director of graduate studies and the senior vice president for academic affairs and, in coordination with deans, Admission, Financial Aid and Registrar’s Office personnel, the person in this role will participate in recruitment activities, serve as a point person for graduate admission and facilitate the registration process for students in LEC’s graduate programs, including those that are online.

RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Work with faculty, deans, and other personnel to recruit for graduate programs.

  • Guides graduate students from prospect through registration.      

  • Works closely with the Admission, Financial Aid, Registrar’s Office and deans to support logistics and communications.

  • Coordinates strategy, tactics and scheduling related to graduate admission activities and events, and is closely attuned to best practices and standards in serving the admissions and registration needs for graduate programs.

  • Regularly meets with faculty and deans to foster a collaborative recruitment environment between faculty and deans, admission staff and registration personnel.  

  • In collaboration with appropriate personnel, develops and maintains admission, financial aid and registration policies and procedures related to graduate programs, to include online graduate programs.

  • Regularly analyzes data, assists with setting and achieving goals and reports graduate employment outcomes.  

  • Other duties as assigned by the director of graduate studies and senior VP for academic affairs & institutional effectiveness.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.  

  • Prior admission experience, preferably at the graduate level.   

  • Prior experience with managing logistics related to online graduate admission, financial aid and registration.     

  • Ability to relate to the mission of a small, independent institution like Lake Erie College.

  • Proven track-record of leading enrollment growth, preferably within a graduate     

  • Excellent computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM products and reporting software.        

  • Jenzabar EX and PowerFaids experience a plus.

  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting and graduate recruiting strategies and tactics.
