Lake Erie College Launches New Career Services and | Workforce Development Department

Lake Erie College is proud to announce the launch of its new Career Services and Workforce Development Department, a bold step forward in preparing students for meaningful, purpose-driven careers. The department will be led by Amy Sabath, a seasoned higher education and nonprofit leader who will also head the College’s new Nonprofit and Civic Engagement initiatives.

The new department reflects Lake Erie College’s strategic commitment to integrating career development directly into the student experience, from first-year advising to postgraduate success.

“This department is about more than job placement,” said Lake Erie College President Jennifer N. Schuller. “It’s about preparing our students to become influential professionals, civic leaders, and change agents in their communities.”

Amy Sabath brings extensive experience in higher education, community leadership, and public service. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of Government Affairs and Nonprofit & Public Service at Lakeland Community College. She is a well-respected advocate for civic involvement and nonprofit development in the region.

The Career Services and Workforce Development Office is located on the second floor of the Lincoln Learning Commons. It will be open to students on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., or by appointment.
