Student Loan Information
Federal Direct Loan
All students who intend to borrow Federal Direct Loan fund must have a Direct Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN) and have completed the Direct Loan entrance counseling. These can be completed at www.studentloans.gov. Use your FSA ID from the Department of Education to complete your information.
Federal PLUS (Parent Loan for Undergraduate Student)
A PLUS loan is a federal loan a parent can borrow on behalf of their child. The maximum amount a parent is eligible to borrow is the student's cost of attendance less any other aid awarded. A parent can be the student's biological or adoptive mother or father. A stepparent is eligible to borrow if his/her income and asset information is reported on the student's FAFSA. A legal guardian is not considered a parent.
Exit counseling for students who have borrowed federal loans is required upon separation from the College. Use your PIN to access the exit counseling.
Repaying Your Federal Student Loan
Students who graduate or are not enrolled at least half-time will be entering repayment on the Federal student loans. Always work with your loan servicer about your repayment options. You can identify your loan servicer and your loan history at www.nslds.ed.gov. Read more at Guide to Repaying Your Federal Student Loans.
Beware of third party loan repayment services!
