The Physical Plant oversees all aspects of facilities from plumbing to HVAC to carpentry and everything else involved in daily maintenance.
The Physical Plant also oversees all new construction projects and development of future endeavors to help better Lake Erie College and its student experience.
The main goal of the Physical Plant is to make sure that everything is functioning properly and to develop and put into motion plans to correct larger issues within the college. Although located on the main campus the Physical Plant also is responsible for other properties owned by the college such as the Equestrian Center.
The Physical plant has transformed into a one-stop-shop with as little outsourcing as possible to maintain and avoid added costs. With the "we can do this" attitude Lake Erie College can overcome obstacles that would be an enormous undertaking at other small colleges, such as the new College Hall steps and landing.
