Lake Erie College to Name School of Education in Honor of Suzanne (Schoedinger) Ellis

Lake Erie College will officially name its School of Education the Suzanne (Schoedinger) Ellis ’59, ’87 School of Education in recognition of Ellis’s longstanding generosity and commitment to the College.


The naming honors Ellis, a dedicated alumna, teacher, Board of Director member, and supporter of Lake Erie College whose philanthropy has helped strengthen opportunities for students and academic programs across campus. Her continued engagement and generosity reflect a deep commitment to advancing the College’s mission and supporting future generations of educators.


“Suzanne Ellis represents the very best of the Lake Erie College community,” said President Jennifer N. Schuller. “Her dedication to education and her generosity toward our students have had a lasting impact on this institution. It is an honor to recognize her legacy by naming our School of Education in her honor.”


Lake Erie College will celebrated its naming with a special event on April 7 in the Garfield Building on campus. The ceremony recognized Ellis’s impact on the institution and formally introduce the Suzanne (Schoedinger) Ellis ’59, ’87 School of Education to the campus community.
