Psychology Minor | Minor

Psychology Minor can be a wonderful addition to any major, regardless of type or previous experience Psychology gives students the understanding of how humans behave, as well as the mental processes that go into decision making and emotional response.

With the Psychology Minor, students can prepare themselves to handle conflict and set themselves up in a managerial role. Students can also pair this minor with any other area of study to give themselves an advantage when applying for jobs in the mental health or public service fields.

Required Courses for Psychology Minor

Students are required to take 18-20 semester credits to earn their Psychology Minor. These courses should include:

  • PS 101 General Psychology (3 Semester Hours)

  • PS 220 Child Psychology (3 Semester Hours)

  • PS 222 Psychology of Personality (3 Semester Hours)

  • PS 329 Abnormal Psychology (3 Semester Hours)

As well as two additional courses in psychology, with the PS designation (6-8 Semester Hours).
