About
Dr. Fairall has worked in the fitness and sports industry since 1999. He has held various roles in commercial, corporate, community, clinical, and athletic settings, such as assistant sports director, exercise specialist, personal trainer, group fitness instructor, ergonomist, and general manager. Dr. Fairall has worked with clients ranging from the general population to those with controlled chronic diseases and athletes of various skill levels.Â
Dr. Fairall has been a full-time faculty member in higher education since 2015, developing and instructing various Exercise Science curricula. His passion is educating future health, fitness, and sports performance professionals. Dr. Fairall’s research interests include the effects of exercise interventions on athletic performance and injury prevention. As well as the efficacy of novel exercise modalities and training methods on various measures of health and skill-related components of physical fitness.
In his free time, Dr. Fairall enjoys being physically active, playing sports, lifting weights, kayaking, fishing, and going on walks with his female Shih Tzu named Bledsoe. He also enjoys watching his hometown Philadelphia sports teams, although it can be very frustrating at times.
