Nourish Health. Empower Change.

The Bachelor of Science in Nutrition at Lake Erie College prepares students to make an impact in one of today’s fastest-growing and most essential fields. With a science-driven curriculum and real-world relevance, our program equips future nutrition professionals with the knowledge and skills to promote health, prevent disease, and influence change at both individual and community levels.

Nutrition plays a powerful role in public health, especially as diet-related conditions like obesity, heart disease, and diabetes continue to rise. Our program provides a foundation in food science, human biology, and wellness practices, preparing graduates to pursue careers in clinical nutrition, public health, wellness education, food systems, and beyond.

Why Study Nutrition?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reminds us:

“Good nutrition is essential in keeping current and future generations of Americans healthy across the lifespan.”

Nutrition is more than healthy eating—it’s a vital tool for improving lives. The World Health Organization links better nutrition to stronger immune systems, lower risk of chronic disease, and improved productivity across societies. With the growing focus on preventive care, demand for trained nutrition professionals is rising rapidly.
