Josh Linerode

Advising Generalist

Joshua Linerode, who joins the Lake Erie College academic affairs staff as an academic advisor. He was recently a graduate assistant and graduate intern at Youngstown State University, where he advised students, assisted in the development of assessment tools, participated in transcript evaluation and admissions recommendations and processes, and served as an advisor for several student groups. In addition to his work at Youngstown State University, he was a Therapeutic Staff Support Assistant for Youth Intensive Services where developed programs and facilitated mediation sessions to promote safe learning environments for students. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Arts (Interdisciplinary Studies:  Education, Psychology, and Sociology) from the University of Mount Union and a Master of Science in Education in Education (with a focus on Student Affairs and College Counseling) from Youngstown State University. Of joining Lake Erie College, Joshua states that he “values the smaller campus environment because it gives students the opportunity to get to know one another and build better relationships with their peers, staff, and faculty. I look forward to working with the various departments across campus so we are able to build stronger bonds between our offices.
