Prabhat Sharma, MD, is adjunct faculty professor at Lake Erie College in Physician Assistant Program. He primarily teaches the Gross Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory and Lecture courses.

Dr. Sharma graduated from University of Delhi, India where earned his Bachelor’s of Science with Honors. He later earned a Master’s of Science in Pollution Ecology at Jiwaji University, India being on Dean’s List & Top Position. After successful completion of his MS, he got National Scholarship (CSIR) and also earned his Ph.D in Ecology at Jiwaji University, India. In Manila, Philippines he enrolled at Our Lady of Fatima University and earned his Medical Doctor degree. He holds several massage therapy certificates and is a licensed Massage Therapist.

After graduating, he moved to the United States and continued his educational career. He has extensive experience in teaching. For thirty years he has taught courses in Biology, Health Sciences, and Massage. Dr. Sharma developed the Biological Testing at NEORSD as per EPA rules and regulations.

While teaching he was nominated and received numerous awards. Some of the awards include: Dean’s Award for Excellence in 2007 and 2011, NISOD Award for Teaching Excellence in 2004, Northeast Ohio Council for Higher Education Award in 2004, Ralph M. Besse Award for Teaching Excellence in 2003, and Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers (multi edition honoree) since 2003.
